Justine Kreher "I am honored to have the opportunity to bring this martial art to students in the Tacoma area. Teaching Poekoelan is a labor of love. I tried other martial arts before I found my home in this style. I find that our style of Poekoelan is the perfect balance between hard verses soft, internal verses external, and an effective fighting system verses a beautiful art form. Although I train from the perspective of someone born in the US I am very grateful to Indonesia, the motherland of our system, and to the teachers that came before me for this unique art that flows like a river from one generation to the next. I am a direct student of Jessica Forney, Eric Hennings, Mathew Noell, and Chantrelle Johanson of Fifth River Poekoelan in Seattle in the lineage of Mas Goeroe Agoeng Willy Wetzel. I am dedicated to passing on this information to others so that they may become healthier, stronger, and more self confident and to help students reduce the risk of harm in their lives. I am totally committed to offering the most well rounded approach to training as possible in an ethical and enjoyable environment. My other interests include mountain biking, hiking, traveling, reading, working with stained glass, and rock collecting." |

Mazzole Singeo (Student Teacher) Mazzole Singeo has been training in Poekoelan for 3 years. He is an assistant instructor for the beginner's and children's classes and is a big help to our school. Mazzole is from Palau, Micronesia. He is getting his education in the United States. " I love martial arts, especially training under this art. It is very fluid and a fun martial art to train in. I also enjoy outdoor sports, sports cars, and love to fight in tournaments." -Mazzole
